Graphene for malaria prevention

Afraid of #mosquito bites and malaria? Your worries could end very soon. #Researchers from #Brown #University have come up with a #smart #fix. They conducted a series of #experiments to show that #skin covered with a layer of #graphene #oxide is less susceptible to nasty mosquito bites. Graphene oxide blocks the #signals that mosquitoes receive from #human skin. Mosquitoes are also unable to bite through this unique #material. This is indeed a smart and chemical-free way of preventing mosquito bites. So don’t feel surprised if you see graphene-lined #garments at your nearest shopping mall sometime soon.
